The School of Data Organisation is currently accepting applications from individuals for its 2015 Fellowship programme. The organization is looking to find new data trainers to spread data skills around the world. This nine-month training programme consists of a series of offline and online trainings and workshops, organising events, and being an active member of the thriving School of Data community aimed at developing core skills. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of up to 1000 USD a month, depending on the country they live in.
The programme is scheduled from April to December 2015 and up to 7 fellowships will be provided. Each fellow will get matched with a host organisation in the same country.
Focus areas of working: extractive industries data, financial data, or aid data.

Dona Djambaska, Macedonia, graduated in the field of Environmental Engineering and has been working with Metamorphosis foundation in Skopje for the past 6 years assisting on projects in the field of information society.
Nisha Thompson, India, currently working as Lead Organizer of a new organization called DataMeet, which is a community of people working towards open data by sharing experiences and helping others with data related problems.
Oludotun Babayemi, Nigeria has 5 years experience in the nonprofit sector and a Masters degree in Information Management and is working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert with Connected Development [CODE], and the Lead Development Consultant with Cloneshouse Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants from above mentioned countries are only eligible to apply.
Applicant must be data savvy and has experience working with data and a passion for teaching data skills.
Applicant must understand and interested in the role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the media in bringing positive change through advocacy, campaigns, and storytelling.
Applicant must have some facilitation skills and enjoys community-building (both online and offline) – or, eager to learn and develop their communication and presentation skills.
Applicants must have a strong knowledge of English.
