PROGRAM ● Participants should have at least 1 year of Ottoman knowledge. Arabic and/or Persian preferred. ● Ottoman classes will be offered in Intermediate and Advanced levels. ● Classes will be four days a week. ● Every Wednesday there will be guest lecturers. ● Teaching assistants will help students with their assignments. ● There will be guided trips to research libraries and archives in Istanbul on Fridays (see program page for details). ● Upon completion of the program, each participant will be awarded 3 credits. ● Scholarships are available and given based on need and merit. FACILITIES ● Participants will stay in the RCAC Building, located in Beyoglu. ● August 2nd – August 7th will be spent in the Koç University main campus. The students will stay in single rooms. ● Dinner will be included 4 days a week.
