Call for Papers 2015 Gypsy Lore Society Annual Meeting and Conference on Romani Studies Republic of Moldova, Chisinau, 10-12th September 2015 The Gypsy Lore Society annual meeting and conference on Gypsy/Romani Studies for 2015 will be held from the 10th-12h of September at the Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Chisinau. The meeting is being organized on behalf of the Gypsy Lore Society by the team of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (“Ethnology of Roma” Research Group) [http://patrimoniu.asm.md/] in cooperation with Public Association “Porojan” [www.porojan.md Requirements for proposals: Open panel: Please send your proposal for an open panel of no more than 500 words. This can be published as a call for papers after approval; the deadline for receiving abstracts for the panel is March 15, 2015. Pre-arranged panel: Please send your proposal for a pre-arranged panel of no more than 250 words. We also ask for an abstract of 250 words for each individual paper by a common deadline of March 15, 2015. Individual papers: Please send your abstract of no more than 250 words and indicate whether this is an open submission, or a submission to a particular panel. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the academic organising committee, which includes representatives of the Gypsy Lore Society Board of Directors and local organisers. If your paper is submitted to a panel, also the convenors of the particular panel will review the abstract. Deadline: March 15, 2015. You will be notified if your contribution has been accepted by April 06, 2015. Deadline for abstracts: March 15, 2015. Since 1989 it has been headquartered in the United States. Its goals include promotion of the Romani studies; dissemination of accurate information aimed at increasing understanding of Romani life, history, language, cultures and contemporary situation in their diverse forms; and establishment of closer contacts among scholars active in Romani studies. The Annual Meetings of the Gypsy Lore Society are organized in collaboration with prominent scholars and academic establishments worldwide.
