PhD scholarships on data mining and data science research are available from the Advanced Analytics Institute at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. The Advanced Analytics Institute has one of the most productive research and development groups worldwide in the data analytics field for its high quality research, high calibre analyst education, and high impact development. It has been in research partnership with more than 20 major business and industry organisations. The newly created scholarships can be applied by both local and international students. The scholarships provide opportunities for prospective research students to join our diverse group of academics and to work on real-world high-impact data mining research problems. The scholarships include generous living allowance and tuition fee waivers. Successful applicants will hold or be close to completing an Honours or Master??s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related fields. Prior knowledge and experience in data mining or machine learning is a plus, but not compulsory.
