As a reminder, Koç University will offer a brand new intensive summer program for Ottoman and Turkish, from July 6th toAugust 13th and held at the Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (RCAC) in Beyoǧlu, Istanbul. The program is open to graduate students interested in continuing their study of Ottoman, and will also provide additional courses in both Persian and Turkish languages.

The program will give participants the chance to read and translate Ottoman texts in various contexts. The readings will include histories, hagiographies, literary texts, legal documents, court registers, etc.

Ottoman classes will be offered in intermediate and advanced levels, and a limited number of scholarships will be available and given based on need and merit. And participants should have studied at least one year of Ottoman Turkish, with knowledge of Arabic and/or Persian preferred.
