Call for Applications Master in Advanced European and International Studies 2015/16 Mediterranean branch NICE – TUNIS – ISTANBUL Learn and live the Mediterranean! The Mediterranean is shaped by unprecedented challenges. At the occasion of the upcoming 5th anniversary of the "Tunisian spring“, CIFE designed a Mediterranean branch of our itinerant "Master in Advanced European and International Studies.“ In three different places postgraduate students will study and live the Mediterranean in times of globalization. The trilateral Master (one academic year, 60 ECTS) is organised in cooperation with our partners, Istanbul Bilgi University and the Université Internationale de Tunis. The programme takes place in Nice (France; October - December 2015), Tunis (Tunisia; January 2016 – March 2016) and Istanbul (Turkey; April – July 2016). At the crossroads of theory and practice the programme aims to educate the next generation of Euro-Mediterranean experts and decision makers. The problem-focused curriculum is divided into four different modules: - Conflict Management and Peace Making - Sustainable Development and Climate Action - Regional Integration and Transformation - Mediterranean Politics and Societies. Courses on Project Management and Intercultural Communication (including Mediation and Negotiation) will provide the students with key competences for today’s job market. The programme is based on CIFE’s decades long experiences in the field of transdisciplinary mobility-programmes that aim at both to provide excellent, innovative education and to create networks of competence, cooperation and trust among our fellows. Academics from various disciplines and universities in the European Union and MENA-region teach in this programme, as well as experts from research institutions and practitioners from European and international organizations. Among them UN Secretary General's Envoy on Youth, Ahmad Alhendawi, EUHR’s Special Advisor, Nathalie Tocci, and the former judge at ICTY/ICTR, Wolfgang Schomburg. Together they offer a multi-faceted analysis of this “liquid continent” in times of globalization. Please find more information about this bilingual programme (English/French) here. Thanks to an operative grant from the European Commission, we are honored to award a limited number of need-based scholarships to particularly qualified candidates.
