We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity at the North America Polyurethanes Business Headquarters in Marietta, Georgia, for a Technical Service and Development Scientist. The incumbent will join the Energy Efficiency Markets Group to provide technical service for the Isoboard and Bunstock markets, along with other components and fully formulated systems customers. Additionally, the incumbent will provide development guidance for new specialty polyols, formulations and technologies for these applications. The candidate will support development for a range of applications, both independently and through collaboration with R&D, to meet identified market needs, as well as further enhance the performance of existing product technologies. This role will work closely with R&D for product development, and will interface with Marketing and Sales to define customer-driven opportunities. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of experience in polyurethanes technology applications and/or formulation experience is preferred Proven track record of Creativity, Innovation, Project Management Problem Solving Skills and Mechanical Aptitude is a plus Experience in providing technical support to customers Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Previous experience working on a project team Cross-functional and/or cross-geography experience A passion for technology High affinity to understanding customer needs and application requirements Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate in Polymer Science, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
