In view of the challenges of migration for health systems, which became particularly obvious in the current refugee crisis, the Danube University Krems in cooperation with University of Pécs Medical School are offering a new international Master programme (MSc) “Migrant Health – Addressing New Challenges in Europe” which addresses the needs of health and public health service providers. The curriculum has been developed within the frame of an ERASMUS project among six European universities.

The master course is focussing on junior and senior positions in the various health professions, be it medical and health care services or management and strategic planning positions in the health system. The objective is to impart knowledge and competences in an interdisciplinary setting to enable students to respond to the challenges of the current migration movements adequately and effectively. Furthermore, the course contributes to securing adequate health provision of migrants and refugees and the sustainable organization of health systems.

The master course will be offered as part-time study in English. The presence modules will be held at Danube University Krems, Austria, and University of Pécs Medical School, Hungary. More information can be found in the attached folder or at http://www.donau-uni.ac.at/mig/migranthealth
