Computational Social Science Society of the Americas Annual Conference (CSSSA 2016)
CSSSA 2016 Deadline Extended
The deadline for the *Computational Social Science Society of the Americas* annual
conference (CSSSA2016) has now been extended from August 15 to *September 1*.
If you don't already have a paper in the works, it is may not be too late
-- and if you do have a paper in the works, we hope this will take just a
bit of pressure off!
CSSSA is a multi-disciplinary society and conference that welcomes work
across the spectrum of computational social science research including
agent-based modeling, social network analysis, complex data analysis and
other computationally enabled methods as applied to the social sciences.
The CSSSA2016 call for papers is here:
*https:// computationalsocialscience. org/conferences/csssa2016/
*
CSSSA is a high-quality, single-track conference which provides a relaxed
and enjoyable environment for cross-disciplinary conversations and an
audience that brings deep methodological understanding to work based in any
social science field.
*The conference will be held November 17 through 20, 2016 in downtown Santa
Fe, New Mexico. *
The keynote will be given by *Dr. Joshua Epstein, *director of the Center
for Advanced Modeling in the Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences at
Johns Hopkins University, and a pioneer in the area of agent-based modeling.
If people in your field think that your work is good, but that your
computer-enabled methods are a bit strange, CSSSA may be a great home for
you. We would love to see your paper!
Best,
Tim Gulden, PhD
President, CSSSA
